Description

Very beautiful black Kaiser Idell 6781 table lamp in restored condition.

The Kaiser & Co. Leuchten KG company was founded in 1895 by Hermann Kaiser, a silversmith and industrial designer. Christian Dell, who headed the metalwork department at the Weimar Bauhaus for several years, designed a large range of lights (more than 500 models) with the idea to create interchangeable and strandardized parts of lamps. The Idell lamps (combination of ‘Dell’ and ‘Idea’) are viewed to this day as a design classic — a timeless ideal with a simple and clean avant-garde design, noble materials and an essential functionality.

This Model was designed by the Bauhaus artist Christian Dell and is without lettering on the shade.

After the thorough dismantling cleaning rust removal of all elements, the lamp was polished brushed newly painted and built again.

The electrical equipment was renewed and refurbished with a three-wire system and a black cloth coated cord was used.
The light isoperated by a switch located on the base.
