Description

Kaiser Idell 6614 Super black scissor lamp.

The Kaiser & Co. Leuchten KG company was founded in 1895 by Christian Dell, a silversmith and industrial designer, who headed the metalwork department at the Weimar Bauhaus for several years. He designed a large range of lights (more than 500 models) with the idea to create interchangeable and strandardized parts of lamps. The Idell lamps (combination of ‘Dell’ and ‘Idea’) are viewed to this day as a design classic — a timeless ideal with a simple and clean avant-garde design, noble materials and an essential functionality.

This Kaiser Idell 6614 scissor lamp is an original designer classics from the 30s.
The lamp is in a very good restored used condition. The wide shade has slightly dents.
The electrical equipment was renewed and refurbished with a three-wire system and a black cloth coated cord was used.
The light is operated by a rotary switch located on the brass lamp socket.

The lamp can be easily attached to the wall with the wall-mount bracket and screws.
